Hiking, golf, cross country and downhill skiing and snowmobiling all nearby. We would have liked to see better walking paths down to the water (perhaps a staircase), and some chairs overlooking the lake would have also been a great addition. First floor rooms do not look over the lake, per se, but you can catch a glimpse if you stand on tiptoe. the only downer was they did not give us rooms near each other, in fact they were on different floors and the cost was higher than we thought they should be, otherwise I could give a higher rating. The only thing we overlook is Lake Superior!
